Thank you for your interest in becoming a member or renewing your membership to MCHG. Membership provides the following benefits:
– Voting rights at our bi-annual meetings
– Group projects sponsored by MCHG
– Ad hoc classes
– Group Discounts
– Access to events and social gatherings
– Facebook Group Membership (our main way to organize events)
– Remind event reminders
– Local information exchange
– Curriculum exchange
– Support to local homeschooling families and those interested in homeschooling
Many of our activities occur in our home base of Williamston, NC, so membership is most convenient for those residing in Bear Grass, Robersonville, Everetts, Hamilton, Hassell, Jamesville, Oak City, Windsor and Bertie County, Plymouth and Washington County, and Washington and Beaufort County. However, we have current and past members outside of this area, and regularly partake in scheduled events throughout the state, so you are welcome to join no matter what town in NC you call home!
We accept memberships for any actively homeschooling family in the state of North Carolina. To be considered active, you must be a current registered homeschool with the NCDNPE unless your oldest homeschooling child is not yet of age to be registered (7 years old). If you need help with this process, the best source of information comes directily from the NCDNPE. Click here to visit their site. You may also feel free to contact us via Facebook or send us an email with any questions.
